This is an illustration for the coming of age New York Times contest. My mission was to document, reflect and express how I personally as a teenager, was effected in 2020 and what I did to recover. I started a sketch on paper but uploaded it and moved it onto Adobe Illustrator. My illustration shows how I spent my year playing minecraft day and night, I built my small house onto the game and the two cats I lost earlier in the year as a way to still connect with them. My friend who appears as the gray axolotl in this illustration also joined me into the minecraft world This was only my second drawing ever (October 17, 2022) on adobe.
